From humble beginnings in 1949, Siegfried F Tandler formed a small gear wheel company. Tandler now employ over 200 employees at a state of the art production facility in Bremen, Germany. Tandler provide the latest in gear technology and heat treatment to manufacture some of the highest quality gears and industrial gearboxes available.

Tandler Precision were formed in 1989 with the mission of providing the UK market with the highest quality power transmission solutions. Founding Managing Director Roger Jarvis continues to deliver that technical knowledge to provide solutions in a diverse range of markets. When the company was founded traditional markets in the UK such as print and packaging industries were areas of focus for the range of Tandler gears and gearboxes. As market trends shifted this focus has diversified to a vast array of industries, encompassing nuclear, oil and gas, offshore, sub-sea, aerospace, electric vehicles and testing facilities, alongside the more traditional industries. The knowledge and expertise gained from working in such varied industries positions Tandler Precision as a market leader in the UK power transmission landscape.

Along with the vast range of gears and gearboxes, Tandler Precision, in an effort to provide a greater number of power transmission solutions, partnered in 1998 with R+W Antriebselemente to offer to the UK market R+W’s huge range of couplings, torque limiters and drive shafts. Over the years R+W’s innovative approach to coupling technology has seen their market share expand to the point of being a market leader in the coupling industry. Tandler can now offer couplings, torque limiters and drive shafts for micro applications requiring a fraction of a newton metre up to heavy duty mining industry applications requiring hundreds of thousands of newton metres.
